The Network Details
Here's how it works; The Model Network has relationships with industry educators from all over the world. These educators look to the Network when they are in need of models for workshops, educational seminars and special events. Studios who are members of the Network have the opportunity to submit their interest and models head shots for consideration when these oppotunites are presented. Models from the The Model Network have modeled for workshops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Monterey, Las Vegas, New York City and Texas.
At WPPI 2017 we took a national team of 16 models to Vegas to model for International Master Photographers for 33 workshops and vendors on the event Expo floor in 4 days! We worked with well known and highly respected names in the industry include Lindsey Adler, Yervant, Craig LaMere, Nik Perdikis, Johnson Wee, Keda Z, Vanessa Joy, Sandy Puc as well as our models appeared on the Cannon stage and modeled for Interfit Inc.
Vegas 2018 was an even larger event with the stylized shoot out at Nelson Ghost Town where we sold tickets to 11 photographers who joined us to learn about shooting in high sun on the desert with Interfit Photographic S1's taught by representatives from the company.
Our Class of 2019 national models had an exceptionally exciting year. We started out with our summer styled shoot "Adventure Awaits - The Great Outdoors" which was hosted in Lake Tahoe in July. 35 of our national team attended and had a fabulous time meeting, being photographed and making new friends.
September found us in Denton, Texas for a very creative styled shoot "Recycled Couture" where local fashion designers created gowns from recycled materials for our models to be photographed in. Photos from the shoot were judged by Sal Cincotta and winning images put on display in a "pop-up" gallery at a local hotel.
In October we had the amazing opportunity to go east to New York City for the Photo Plus conference and to shoot together in Central Park, Times Square and at the Brooklyn Bridge!
In February 2019 our team of 28 models returned to Las Vegas for a fabulous styled shoot themed "Hollywood Glam" and worked with master photographers in over 60 WPPI workshops during the week we affectionately call "Model Week Las Vegas"!
Our 2020 national team had the opportunity to travel to San Diego for 2 days of beach resort styled shoots in July and then to San Antonio for two fun days of shooting at a private ranch and the Missions! We wrapped up our model year again with our epic trip to Vegas where we did our Fashion Playground styled shoot, photographed at the Neon Museum and then of course 4 days at WPPI! So, have we got your interest? Are you seeing what a huge marketing opportunity this is for your studio in your local market? Can you see yourself offering this amazing experience to your model team? In the past studios have used this opportunity as a contest to encourage referrals and as a way to set themselves apart from the competition in their community. It's important to us that studios are exclusive in their "territories". That means that we won't have 2 studios that are competitors in the same area. Once you're signed up and an active studio with models in good standing you're protected from someone near you joining the network.
The bottom line is membership and open enrollment for the class of 2021 studios and models is NOW! (open enrollment closes April 1, 2020)
One year membership per studio is $299.00 plus $100.00 to register each model. Models MUST be Class of 2021 senior year and be registered to participate in modeling and publishing opportunites. Studios are required to submit a signed modeling release, headshot, full body shot and school ID for each model when registering. Once a studio is registered with payment it will appear on The Model Network website as a participating studio. As each individiual model is registered with model release, payment, head shot and ID they will appear on the "Model Page" of The Model Network website.
We will be fully active on social media with features of the models as well as support for participating studios. Our private Facebook group is a great tool to bring the studios together in communication and networking.
At least one destination, stylized shoot will be planned annually for studios to meet, shoot together and give the models opportunities to make new friends and experience new locations. This will also provide excellent marketing opportunites for participating studios. Studios are also invited to "host" a stylized shoot out in their region with the support and guidance of Jennifer.
I'm excited about this venture and hoping to have YOU come along on it with us.
